Värdshuset Flottaren

Описание

Since the 1800s the rivers Vanån and Västerdalälven had been used by the timber industry to transport timber from up north to the lumber mills in the south to be processed and transported further on. The men who bravely stood on the timber and guided it in the river were called "Flottare". So the hotel that was built right next to the river was to be called "Flottaren", the man who guides timber, which is also our logo, a timber man on his job guiding timber.

When the skiing business started in Sälen, a lot of car traffic has also been going through Vansbro to get to the slopes in the north.

The hotel is located right next to Västerdalälven with a nice pathway that is also connected to Vanån, which makes for a nice walk along both the rivers.

Because of the location, Flottaren has become the place to connect rivers, roads and people. Surrounded by trees on the shores of Dalarnas Västerdal River, this central Vansbro guest house offers free Wi-Fi internet and free private parking.

Värdshuset Flottaren’s bright rooms have either private or shared bathrooms. Some feature wooden floors, a balcony and a sofa.

Flottaren’s restaurant offers both light, simple dishes and gourmet cuisine. Guests can grab a drink at the bar or relax on the terrace.

Children can play in the playground, and guests of all ages can rent bicycles on site. Fishing is a popular activity in the area, while swimming and gym facilities are also found nearby.
