On the England/Wales border, The Pavement Palace offers this characterful apartment in the centre of Hay-on-Wye. Wood-beamed ceilings and eclectic furnishings add to its rustic style, and the apartment also provides free Wi-Fi.

The Pavement Palace has an antique mirror-lined bathroom with bath and shower, hairdryer and toiletries provided. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer.

A relaxing lounge with wood-burning stove features a flat-screen TV with DVD player, an elegant chaise longue and two window seats with a view of Lion street and the clocktower. Upstairs, you will find a super king-size bed beneath the bedroom’s vaulted ceiling.

Home of the famous literary and arts festival, Hay-on-Wye remains a maze of winding streets lined with antique shops, independent boutiques and art galleries. In the northern region of the Brecon Beacons National Park, it has many cafés and restaurants within a short walk of The Pavement Palace.
