Within easy walking distance of Lake Windermere and the villages of Windermere and Bowness and close to a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops as well as bus and rail links, this elegant bed and breakfast was built in 1897 with traditional, local Lakeland stone; the house still boasts many beautiful original Victorian features including its splendid hall and staircase, marble fireplaces, mahogany woodwork and even its serving bells.?The decoration of the house is in favour of the colourful, traditional styles of the Arts and Crafts, Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, recalling the splendour of traditional Lakeland England. The 9 rooms are all individually decorated, with their own unique charm with some featuring unique four-poster beds and an elegant lounge is available for guests to relax in where a welcoming fire is lit in the Italian marble fireplace in the cooler evenings.
