Accessible only by sea airplane, this remote wilderness accommodation is located 55 km north of Yellowknife. All guest units include a fireplace. Guests can enjoy fishing and kayaking on site.

A seating area is offered in each guest unit at Yellow Dog Lodge, Inc. Barbecue facilities are also provided. Select room types offer an en suite bathroom or a balcony. All meals, refreshments and guided fishing tours are optional at the site.

Breakfast at this secluded lodge will include eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. Lunch and dinner menus vary, and may include beef, lamb, or freshly-caught fish. Picnic lunches are also featured.

Wildlife viewing tours and canoeing are some of the activities offered on site. After a day of snowshoeing, guests can relax in the hot tub or sauna at Yellow Dog Lodge – Yellowknife. Please inform Yellow Dog Lodge, Inc. in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Chief Public Health Officer of the Northwest Territories hereby grants approval to allow residents, new residents and non-residents of the Northwest Territories to stay at Yellow Dog Lodge, following the approved NWT Remote Tourism Operator COVID-19 Operations Plan and supporting documents (Exemption to Public Health Order Dated April 21, 2021 Allowing Residents and Non-Residents Of The Northwest Territories To Stay At A Remote Lodge Or At Other Remote Locations With Tourism Activities, Operated By A Remote Tourism Operator - Including Exemption To The Public Health Order - Covid-19 Travel Restrictions and Self-Isolation Protocol - As Amended December 1, 2020 Subparagraph 1).

WHEREAS the Chief Public Health Officer may take certain actions including issuing directions or orders for the purpose of protecting the public health under the authority of the Public Health Act, S.N.W.T. 2007, c.17, I, Dr. Kami Kandola, as Chief Public Health Officer of the Northwest Territories have issued the Public Health Order Dated April 21, 2021 Allowing Residents and Non-Residents Of The Northwest Territories To Stay At A Remote Lodge Or At Other Remote Locations With Tourism Activities, Operated By A Remote Tourism Operator - Including Exemption To The Public Health Order - Covid-19 Travel Restrictions and Self-Isolation Protocol - As Amended December 1, 2020.

This approval order allows the operator to resume remote lodge tourism activities or tourism activities in remote locations as applicable, under their approved NWT Remote Tourism Operator COVID-19 Operations Plan and supporting mitigation plan documents.
