Adjacent to Arakwal National Park, situated on 30 acres of bushland with 630m of beachfront, the setting can only be described as serene. To the West it overlooks the woodland to Tallow Creek where wallabies can often been seen from the back deck and to the East the uncrowded Tallow beach is a stones throw away. Ideal for couples or friends who want to unwind in nature, take long walks or cycle on the beach, swim and surf or just sit quietly and spot the dolphins or the whales. Ride the nature bike track to Byron Bay and enjoy sunrises, moonrises with the marvellous Broken Head at one end and the Byron Lighthouse at the other.

In harmony with its environment, Kookaburra is ethical, vegan-friendly (no feather, wool, leather has been used ) and makes a point of using exclusively eco-friendly cleaning products. All toiletry and cleaning products at the guests disposal contain no nasties and are cruelty free (not tested on animals). The soaps are organic. Complimentary tea and coffee supplied for short stays are fair trade and/or organic. The property is adjacent to Arakwal National Park, and boasts 600 metres of direct beachfront access with views of a nature reserve to the West and gardens to the East. Up to 1 GB of fast free WiFi is provided for 3-night stays and up to 3GB is provided for 7-night stays. Free parking is available on site.

There is a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and induction cooktop. A flat-screen TV, DVD player and a mini sound system are provided. Both bedrooms have a private en suite bathroom with a rain-shower and a hairdryer and all windows and doors are fitted with fly-screens. All toiletry products are organic and cleaning products used are cruelty free and environmentally friendly.
